Deception

Recently, I was reading a Bible at the doctor’s office (since I can’t stand Journal magazines that are in every doctor’s office) and ran across what Jesus said about the last days.  He said, “…let no man deceive you…”.  That tells me He was serious about it.  But why “deceive?”  Why is deception important?  So, I let it fester for a few days and this is what I saw.  

What is deception?  Simple, it’s a lie. Right?  Not exactly.  Deception has two friends, enticement and persuasion.  Deception’s job is to change your mind.  So, just for funnies, I decided to write down things that I see as a deception.  

Let’s start with our current president.  Not only does he not tell us the truth, but our allies are getting nervous, and our enemies are getting braver.  We’ve been through 3+ years of “Russia, Russia, Russia,” the Covid shot will keep you from spreading the virus, dis-information here, misinformation there, and the left’s favorite, “orange man bad.” We now know that all of that was enticement, persuasion and deception.  

What makes things worse is our media protects our government and our government protects itself with the same tactics.  The latest in the left’s insanity is men “chestfeeding” babies.  Why?  Understanding that deception leads to hell, why would anyone, with two active brain cells, think that a man was built for breast feeding babies?  Who are the doctors that back up this craziness?  

Another part of this deception is blocking those with opposing opinions.  A good example of this were those that supported ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine treatments for Covid and were maligned.  It almost became the law that we could not disagree with the mandatory Covid shot.  But what happened?  The shot and “boosta” did not do what they said it would do.  What makes this worse are people who have harmful side effects from the shot and if a doctor said it was from the Covid shot, that doctor was fired or snubbed, or worse, by his peers.  

This also parallels with “climate change”.  I presented a question in a local paper; without using computers, prove that man is warming the earth.  “Scientists say…” is unacceptable.  Name the scientist and show their work.  No responses.  I consider the Bible as being the most accurate in predicting the end of this earth age and nowhere in Scripture will you find man destroying the earth.  Climate change is nothing more than a means of obtaining power.

I find another form of deception in our language.  I’ll leave out the pronouns.  I saw this a long time ago.  I noticed the liberals were using the word ‘mistake’ in the wrong place.  For example, if you grabbed the wrong keys and proceeded to lock yourself out of the house, that’s a mistake.  If you were at a conference table with supervisors, CEOs, and engineers, and vote for a transvestite to advertise your main product and it blows up in your face, that was not a mistake, it was a bad decision.   They use the word “mistake” as a subtle deception to lighten their screwup in the media.  

Same thing with “embrace.”  Excuse me for being a simple person but embrace means to hold dearly.  Hold, with arms, that is, a physical action.  I do not ‘embrace’ a concept, I either agree or disagree.  The liberals started using embrace when the homosexual movement started getting big.  “We must embrace gay rights” was commonly heard.  It’s like the gays weren’t satisfied with being treated like a normal person, they wanted something extra, and they wanted everyone to accept, even celebrate (as they say) their sexuality, in public, no less.  And they pushed the use of the word ‘embrace’.   What would have happened if they said, “we want you to agree with gay rights?”  Do you think they would get the same response?  I don’t think so.  ‘Agree’ is direct and final, ‘embrace’ is flowery and deceptive.  Remember this the next time you see a report on pride parades or pride get togethers.

Before I continue, be it known, I don’t have a racist bone in my body.  I’m a dyed-in-the-wool Army brat.  I have been raised, worked with, and have friends of many races, creeds, and colors.  But one thing I cannot stand is someone else shoving their racism on me.  Look at our TV commercials, why is everyone predominately black?   Is it generating better sales?  Is it a protection thing?  And if they are trying to send me a message then what is it?  Just tell me so I don’t have to guess.

My lady gets a lot of clothes magazines.  In one of them, I noticed there’s not one blonde in the whole magazine and all the models are dark.  If the publishers are implying that they are dark from suntans then I suggest they sell sun lotion, too, because if you’re that tan, you’ll turn into a suitcase.  Alligators will love you for that.  I believe this is subliminal messaging.  It’s like if a lie was told often enough, it would seem the truth.  If you see it enough, then it must be real.

One deception that is very painful to me is that Satanism is growing and drag queens and wokeness has infiltrated into our churches.  Has anyone read the “Sparkle Creed”?  Holy sacred cow, Batman!  Are we going back to the Golden Calf?  

It is my opinion that we will be facing evil that will be based on deception and I think the deception will be so great that Jesus said in Matthew 24:21-22, “For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.  If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.”  In the Book of Amos, 8:21-22, God told Amos. “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.”

Why would He say that?  You have a tribulation going on and there’s an absence of God’s Word.  How does that relate to what we see happening today?  In the eyes of a US patriot, the motto is “God, Guns, and Country”.  Our faith is going to be challenged.  We can’t cave on this one.  One’s eternity is pretty important.   Don’t let yourself be deceived.  Knowledge is your best weapon.
